Ali McSherry is a manager focusing on communications strategy, media relations and publication development for various GA clients. Ali is a skilled writer and editor who spent five years covering Congress as a reporter on Capitol Hill.

As a staff writer for Roll Call, Ali covered a variety of high-profile topics, including handgun legislation and D.C. voting rights. She also wrote Roll Call’s popular “Heard on the Hill” column. Ali’s journalism background, political expertise and longstanding relationships with Capitol Hill insiders allow her to help clients navigate legislative challenges and the 24/7 news cycle.

Ali came to GA from the National Apartment Association, where she served as communications manager. There, she oversaw development of the trade association’s monthly magazine and managed communications with the association’s some 50,000 members.

Ali hails from the Jersey Shore. She received a degree in communication from Monmouth University with a minor in political science.
